For Vehicle Access there are two types of standard
solutions;
Stand alone or Networked.
Alt 1: Stand alone
| The reader operates
stand-alone, i.e. tags are read and the reader makes
decisions depending on the tag ID, I/O events (e.g.
ground loop) and time. The reader can also control
barriers using its I/O control features. |
|
Alt 2:
Networked
Multiple readers can work together in a networked
manner with a centralized host that is responsible
for decision making and I/O controls.
Connectivity between the reader and the central
unit can be provided in a number of ways:
-
Wiegand/Magstripe interconnection (for easy
integration with access systems)
- RS232 (for
direct, often specialized connection to a local
PC)
- RS485 (multi-drop for customized
networks)
- TCP/IP (for complex or
geographically distributed systems)
-
Radio modems (for long distances where cable
installation is difficult)
- GSM
For plug ’n play installation
TagMaster’s equipment supports most
popular versions of Wiegand and also comes
integrated with all major Global Parking
Systems. TagMaster also provides software
and tools for easy customization.
