RoHS requires that Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, Hexacalent Chromium,
Polybrominated Biphenysis, and Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers no longer be
used in manufacturing, as their use in production is dangerous human
health, as is the eventual disposal of these products can be damaging to

What
is RoHS Compliance? RoHS
refers to the Restriction of Hazardous Substances. The European Union (EU)
instituted RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC banned six substances from being used
in the manufacturing process. The goal of this directive is to protect the
environment and reduce exposure related health risks. What is WEEE
Directive? Waste Electrical and
Electronic Equipment (WEEE) EU Directive 2002/96/EC - This directive
requires that the companies manufacturing electrical and electronic
equipment take responsibility for the waste problem. These companies are
compelled to collect waste and it in an ecological-friendly manner, either
by ecological disposal or by refurbishment of the collected waste.
