To speed up the vehicle throughput, the Boca Pointe Community Association Inc. choose TagMaster's Long Range readers to be installed at one of the two entry lanes at each gate. This means that every gate has one lane for automatic vehicle identification and one lane for manual authorization of guests and other visitors. All residents receive a TagMaster ID-tag which is easily mounted inside the windscreen. Some of the gates are unmanned during night time, however, secure authorization and access is provided to ID-tag holders in combination with video surveillance. The customized software, developed by a local system integrator, links the gate equipment with a central database, allowing BPCA staff to manage and update user records from the head office. The software enables the guard to automatically verify the authorization of the visitor, and record a photo of the visitor and his/her vehicle in a history file. The software offers many options including ”Exit Check”, ”Drivers License Scan”, ” Remote Database Search”, ” Multiple Guard-gate Control” and ” Web Integration”.
